We are pleased to welcome you and your child to Porters Grange Primary School and Nursery.

Please find below dates of our New Starters Meeting and transition sessions.  It is important that you attend this meeting, as this will give you information which will support you in giving your child the best chance to settle into school.

 

Our New Starter Meeting will take place on Thursday 6th June 2024.  We are holding two sessions, so please attend either the morning session at 9.00 am or the afternoon session at 2.00 pm.  A tour of the school will also be offered.

 

Our transition programme and September induction, ensures that your child has a positive start to school.   You will be informed in due course whether your child will attend the morning or afternoon sessions.  The dates are:

Wednesday 4th to Tuesday 10th September:       Home visits

                                                                     You will be advised of your home visit time in due course.

​

Wednesday 11th September:                            Stay and Play sessions for children and parents/carers.

                                                                     We are unable to accommodate siblings.

                                                                     9.30 am – 10.30 am OR 1.30 pm – 2.30 pm

Thursday 12th  to Tuesday 17th September:        Part-time hours.   

                                                                     Children attend either 9.00 am –11.30 am OR 12.30 pm  –3.00 pm

Wednesday 18th  September:                           Part-time hours with lunch.  Parents/carers are invited to eat with the children

                                                                     We are unable to accommodate siblings.

                         

Thursday 19th  & Friday 20th  September:         Full day with early finish.  8.40 am – 2.00 pm

                                                                    (Dependent on emotional well-being.)

                                                                

Monday 23rd September:                                Full time hours.   8.40 am – 3.20 pm

                                                                    (Dependent on emotional well-being)
